Black, genderqueer who knits…
and does cross stitch.

in fact, i love things textile related so much that I did a degree in it.

does that impede my masculinity?
or confirm my femininity?

The label ‘woman’ certainly doesn’t fit,
Just because I sew
and knit,
doesn’t mean I like being addressed as ma’am or miss.

Man, Mr or sir leaves a big part of me out too.
So what am I supposed to do?
But find my own comfortable space,
my own individual place
within the gender spectrum.
